Fifteen years ago, at a Harcourts charity sale, Hibiscus Coast top real estate sales consultant Sue Donoghue sold a Red Beach Hospice property. It was her first sale in her new profession, and she felt it was a brilliant way for her to learn and do something for the community at the same time.

“Living on the Coast and enjoying the stunning scenery working in a unique community was just the opportunity I was looking for,” Sue remembers now after a decade-and-a-half of success. “I learnt then that when people buy a property, they are about to make one of the most important decisions in their lives.

“Working with someone they can trust and is transparent is vital, and a great advantage.”

This month, Sue and her team will move to Harcourts Cooper & Co’s Whangaparaoa office for the benefits of its diverse team, support, bespoke auction division, sponsorship and success. “The culture is dynamic and innovative, and we are ready to get going in this new and exciting environment,” she says.

Sue’s well-known husband Charles Donoghue – a Master Coach in real estate and performance sales training – instilled his wife’s professional skills for her to rise to the top, becoming the top agent for 2021/2022 at her previous company.

Known for professional skills including listening, understanding people and their personalities, Sue’s clients have commented, “It’s easy to spot that she is driven, analytical and conscientious, and keen to get the absolute best results for us, while relating well to buyers – she is always striving to make a big difference.”

This year Sue has recruited well-known real estate sales consultant and former auctioneer Tony Scheirlinck to her team. With 37 years of experience in real estate, Tony is the perfect person to support Sue in her new endeavours after she was targeted by Harcourts Cooper & Co as an ideal candidate in the company’s expansion through the Coast and Rodney.

As a former franchise owner and auctioneer, Tony’s knowledge is impressive, and his commitment to the job shines through for anyone who comes in contact with him. “His negotiation skills are superb,” Sue says. “He brings huge enthusiasm, experience and tenacity to the team.”

Sue says selling the Hibiscus Coast is a pleasure, with a beautiful community feeling, stunning seaviews, something different to do every day and a chance to help people make the move that changes their lives. She has a huge local knowledge, is friendly, caring, tireless and effective, with strong negotiation techniques.

Tony says those strengths meant it was a no-brainer to join Sue’s team in April. “I honestly believe her intuition and compassion for her clients is unparalleled,” he says. “She truly enjoys helping people, and goes above and beyond to give them that little bit extra that the rest of the crowd don’t.

“Watch out for Team Sue Donoghue under the Harcourts Cooper & Co banner this summer…we are looking forward to providing our clients with the same outstanding service Sue has always provided, with the benefits of Harcourts International’s top worldwide franchise.”
