Harcourts Cooper & Co expands into the North West

An outstanding customer experience equals outstanding growth for Harcourts Cooper & Co, allowing the highly regarded real estate company to keep pace with the changing face of Auckland.

After 20 years of focusing on serving home buyers and sellers on Auckland’s North Shore, where it now operates 16 highly successful offices including one on Waiheke Island, Harcourts Cooper & Co is expanding into west Auckland with the purchase of Harcourts Hobsonville.

Martin Cooper, who founded Harcourts Cooper & Co, which he now runs with business partner Andrew North, says the expansion into west Auckland makes good sense, as it is now so much more connected with the North Shore though the city’s improved motorway network.

“As a result, we’re finding many property buyers looking on the North Shore are also interested in Hobsonville and West Harbour. By expanding into the two Harcourts Hobsonville offices we can now help them find a home in both beautiful parts of Auckland.”

The secret behind Harcourts Cooper & Co’s continued growth and success is simple, says Martin Cooper. It’s all about happy clients, who will often become loyal clients who come back to them time and time again for all their real estate needs.

“That’s what we strive for. Happy customers who recommend us to family and friends.

“Everything we do is about getting our clients the best possible result and making the sale or purchase of a property a positive and satisfying experience. Ensuring we have repeat and referral business is absolutely key to what we do.”

Cooper & Co purchased the Harcourts Hobsonville offices from outgoing business owner David Cattanach, who has been with Harcourts since 1989.

Martin says buying the business from David was an easy decision.

“David led a high-performing franchise and surrounded himself with a long-serving and highly successful team. We will continue on his good work and introduce west Auckland to our Cooper & Co style of customer service.”

Cooper & Co was recently recognised as the number one Harcourts franchise in the world, ranking above franchises throughout New Zealand and nine other countries.

Martin attributes this success to Cooper & Co’s loyal clients.

Cooper & Co is also the only real estate company on the North Shore with a designated community support division, sponsoring a huge variety of charities, schools, teams, organisations and events.

The franchise has its own coffee and ice-cream truck that goes to various events, with all profits going to the community. They provide auctioneers and prizes for charity auctions and give financial support to many events.

This is a service that will be extended into Hobsonville.

Martin says being socially responsible and community minded is vital to running a successful business.

“We truly care about our community because without them, we wouldn’t be here. We want to support our community and thank people for the support they give us.”

Harcourts Hobsonville has two offices: 1 Wiseley Road, on the corner of Wiseley and Hobsonville roads, and a Westgate Shopping Centre office, which includes a property management division.
