With the expected completion date only a short matter of months away, The Sargeson Apartments complex in Takapuna is on track
to welcome its residents before the end of the year. For those who have enjoyed watching the evolution of the site, it continues to be a hive of activity and construction is happening at a rapid rate.

With the building now at full height, the cranes are coming down and the final stages of development are well underway. The finish line is in sight for this iconic new addition to the Takapuna skyline.

There are three variants of floorplans available, with a choice of one and two bedroom layouts. Only a few of the 92 apartments remain available for purchase, an indication of the incredible appeal of the design, quality and location. Walker Architects were responsible for bringing the concept to life – a New Zealand contemporary design where two six-level towers are connected via an atrium walkway.

Auburn Reserve, at the heart of vibrant coastal Takapuna, is the exceptional setting for The Sargeson. Catering to those of all ages, this is convenient modern living at its best. Residents are just a quick, flat walk from the area’s famous landmarks and amenities – cars are simply not required on a daily basis. The golden beach is the perfect place for a morning walk, dip before work on a summer’s day, or launching the boat, while the vast offering of cafes, bars and restaurants continue to expand and evolve. Shopping ranges from high end boutiques to the busy Shore City mall, plus the local supermarket is just around the corner. The Bruce Mason Centre and cinema add touches of culture, and recreational activities include the Takapuna Golf Course and Lake Pupuke. The CBD is easily accessed via a choice of three motorway onramps and excellent public transport routes, and the desirable school zone includes Takapuna Grammar and Westlake Girls.

Aspects of the local environment, in particular the dark volcanic colours found throughout Takapuna, were inspiration for the smart palette of exterior materials. The high-quality exterior aesthetic is carried inside into the residences, with a modern, neutral colour scheme complementing stylish fittings and finishes, plus double glazing ensuring noise is at a minimum. The elevation means exceptional views are captured from all apartments – those with a north-westerly aspect enjoy visions of Lake Pupuke and the Waitakeres, while the south-easterly-facing homes look out towards the city and Rangitoto.

Each apartment has an outdoor living area in the form of an enclosed balcony or courtyard, and residents share a 25m swimming pool, playground and barbeque and seating areas. Proposed body corporate provides for a sophisticated security system and a full time, onsite manager. Parking is one level below ground and each tower has two lifts, ensuring quick access to home.

All elements of The Sargeson have been masterfully orchestrated to create the perfect, affordable modern lifestyle in Takapuna.
